Memorial Day in Central Park . . .

Memorial Day was fabulous, what could be better than gorgeous weather, catching a few rays on the lawn, the Zoo, and watching roller skating that is a cross between Saturday Night Fever and an all night rave but during the day. Yes, you read that correctly and if don’t believe me check out the video!

It was fantastic watching these disco mavericks busting a move to the fabulous techno beats, I think it was the highlight of my day! All ages were out there shaken what their mama gave them! They were doing crazy turns, spins, and break dancing. Love the true skaters who broke out vintage skates and of course their was the "couples only" skate. I highly recommend you stopping at least for a few minutes if not longer to watch these amazing and very entertaining skaters!!

I also recommend just kicking back on the lawn reading a book, it is so relaxing and a great way to veg out! The Central Park Zoo is fun yet rather small but be careful of the tourist and their strollers, I almost got clipped by a few. I loved the Polar Bears who were having great fun swimming and the Sea Lions basking in the sun.

I spent a leisure Sunday in Brooklyn (Frt. Greene) with my fabulous friends Tucker and India. We did brunch at Café Lola, the food was fantastic, especially the tres leches French toast, YUMMY! We also strolled the Brooklyn flea market, which was very eclectic.

The rest of the day I spent lounging at Tucker's drinking mimosa’s and listening to a fabulous mix of Mariah, Keane, U2, and a few Broadway tunes! It was also a perfect day for BBQ and thanks to India for inviting me over, she and Seth grilled so tasty beef and chicken fajita’s.

Needless to say it was a fabulous weekend, and sorry that is over it but can’t wait for summer time in NYC!!!
