April 2nd was a fabulous day for a Yankees game, ok not really seeing it was high 40's. It was so cold that your $8.50 Miller Lite did not get warm! That was a plus but it was so cold it was hard to sit through, but least I made it to the 5th inning! It was a great game against the Toronto Blue Jays, and being at Yankee Stadium was beyond AMAZING!
Love the fact that I get to see a Yankees game in the "old" historical stadium. Really sad that this is the last year but I hope they turn it into a Museum, after all it is the "House that Babe built" !
I returned to Yankee stadium on April 6th when the Yankees pitched a perfect game against Tampa Bay, and the crowd went WILD when Joba pitched the final two innings! It was fantastic to sit through that game and then to hear old Blue Eyes, sign New York New York! I think I sat there in complete amazement because of the fans. They are so loud and obnoxious especially the ones guzzling down the frothy beverages and watching them banter and scream back and forth at each other and toasting "Madge" in the next section over on her Birthday. It was absolutly SPECTACULAR!
I must say this is one of favorite things to do so far in the "Big Apple" and can't wait for my next Yankees game! However, I will be going to a Mets game in a few weeks to see them take on Cincinnati! Yet, I am so will be getting tic to the Astros and Mets, GO 'STROS!!
