So this past Thanksgiving I celebrated in New York. This was my first time to be away from family, and I missed them dearly but was so thrilled to have experienced the famous and spectacular Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was a gorgeous day, low 60’s and just a little too warm to be drinking hot coco.
Rosella, who is also from Texas was with me, we walked from our apartment to 72nd and Central Park West and surprisingly all of the natives let us stand in front of them to watch seeing this was our first parade.
Honestly, I don’t think I have watched the parade on tv from start to finish seeing we were always racing to go our grandparents house and now as an adult (did I just call myself an adult? SCARY!) I really like to sleep in.
After the parade we went to Le Cirque for Thanksgiving dinner, which was fabulous not your traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We then went to the Maritime hotel and the Spotted Pig.
If you ever have the chance to be in NYC for Thanksgiving, the parade is a MUST!
